So I ask you, since everyone had so much fun with superheroes last time, let's take the less than great ones - and make them cool again.

Give the 10-sided die a toss (and If you do not live with/are not a D&D geek, here are some virtual dice). Slap a "19" on front of the number that comes up and you will have decade whose art style you will mimic. Draw your impression of that decade. Feel free to get creative -- the 70s could mean R. Crumb, or it could mean flowery shoujo manga, or really uncomfortable national geographic ads! I don't care. do some fun thing.

While we're still a few weeks early to ring in the Chinese New Year, 2012 is the year of the Dragon! For this prompt, draw me some Dragons, RAWR!
Not sure what to have them doing? Maybe they're interacting with your own personal zodiac sign, maybe your dragon is throwing on party hats and celebrating it's upcoming year early. Or maybe your dragon is simply soaring majestically through the skies or stalking deep underground caverns. Western dragons, Asian dragons, Fairy Dragons, or even Dragonborn, any dragon goes! Leisha's prompt kind of tied in with what I had planned for my prompt. So here's your second chance for second chances.
This prompt is to help you see how far you've come. The challenge is to take an old piece of artwork of your own, it could be a month old or years and years old, as far back as you want or as little time ago as you want. I suggest something that has aged but maybe even a more recent picture that you just aren't satisfied with and would like an excuse to retry or do in a different way! Both works.
For those of you who both keep hard copies or digital copies of much of your older stuff (Dee I'm looking at you Mr. Scribble-out-everything-in-your-sketchbook) then I suggest an option B) of taking an old concept or meaning that you once tried to capture in a drawing and take another stab at it.
For your submission, submit both pieces of artwork. The old one and the new! For option b) gives us a description of the old concept/idea you once had and why you chose to redo it or finally try it out period.
Don't be shy, we all drew terribly when we were younger, no one is the exception.

- Pick a prompt that you did previously, but do it in a different style - something you don't normally do. The best challenge would be to emulate a style you have absolutely no idea how to do, but you really want to. You may consider picking a classic artist to emulate, such as Gil Elvgren, Alphonse Mucha or some one else with a very distinct style that is not your own.

Astrology
Now, some of you may or may not be astrology buffs like I know Dee and I are, but I'm about to make an astrological prompt! For simplicity's sake, I'm aiming for the Zodiac with this prompt.
Portray your astrological sign as an abstract piece, a human embodiment, or fantastical anthropomorphized incarnation of the already established symbol. Challenge yourself to stay within your own sign, so that there's variety (I think we've got a fair amount of diversity in birthdays here?) but, if yours is really not all that inspiring (say, two fishies, like mine), you can pick another sign, on the condition that you make it super awesome. ;D
Or, if the above doesn't suit your fancy, you can portray the exact typical personality of your sign, in a character design (ie. Pisces emotional and spacey, Leo enthusiastic but bossy, etc.).

Alright, I want to see some fanart and Avatar seems to be on the mind as of late so multi-tier Avatar the Last Airbender/Legend of Korra fan art post!
