Big Changes

Sorry I'm late! I wasn't sure if I could actually find old artwork and I found this at the bottom of a bin today (I know >_>) and I decided to wing it. It has women being mildly intimate so if you're at work, and your boss isn't a huge fan of you looking at blurry pictures of ambiguous women, you probably should wait until you get home.

Of course it's lesbians. I played it safer the second time round, and I also changed a bunch because my costume design sense was peculiar when I was 17 (I also made it a period piece now, it's the 1940s in the second one)

I don't know if you can tell, but I was a wicked cleanup artist back in the day, some devotion that I wish I still utilized all the time. 

It's from my own Graphic Novel (that got discontinued) "Dreams Like Anachronisms"

I don't tend to keep old drawings on my computer, but I figured out the password for my old da account and found this earth mage.. so I redesigned her, sort of, and here she is now. Just scribbled it and slapped on a quick background. I'll clean and colour some other time hopefully. Gotta get back to work now. ):

Looking at your old reflection.

Leisha's prompt kind of tied in with what I had planned for my prompt. So here's your second chance for second chances.

This prompt is to help you see how far you've come. The challenge is to take an old piece of artwork of your own, it could be a month old or years and years old, as far back as you want or as little time ago as you want. I suggest something that has aged but maybe even a more recent picture that you just aren't satisfied with and would like an excuse to retry or do in a different way! Both works.

For those of you who both keep hard copies or digital copies of much of your older stuff (Dee I'm looking at you Mr. Scribble-out-everything-in-your-sketchbook) then I suggest an option B) of taking an old concept or meaning that you once tried to capture in a drawing and take another stab at it.


For your submission, submit both pieces of artwork. The old one and the new! For option b) gives us a description of the old concept/idea you once had and why you chose to redo it or finally try it out period.
Don't be shy, we all drew terribly when we were younger, no one is the exception.

What to do?

Hey guys, this isn't a post and I'm sorry about breaking protocol but many (or most) of you are better designers than I am and I would love your input on this. This is an idea for a tattoo that I've had forever and with all the free time I had in late summer I started putting it together. I want to put it on my left shoulder and the foliage would wrap around to the back and a little to the front. I'm not thrilled with it however. I still like the idea and the basics of it, but it didn't come out perfect and I think its probably just in need of fresh eyes. If you read the notes in red it kinda lets you know what parts I'm stuck on and what's not done. Thanks guys.

Not your average pinup

Not washing a car but washing her shirt, cause damn it all if those blood stains just don't stick if you don't get at them right away.



So I missed the Pinup prompt which was just a shame, so I decided to do that one. But lately I've been doing much more meticulous traditional pencil drawings and I wanted to switch it up and do something looser and fun in Photoshop. So I kept it looser and sketchier, threw in some selective shading and it was great.

Also this isn't part of the prompt but I did it as a sort of second part for a friend and I can't put it up on DA for certain reasons so I wanted to share with some people so you guys are them.

I've only seen a couple eps of the first series :( But I saw some concept art of the characters in the new series, and the earth and fire bender brothers looked really cool...so here they are! Mako looks like a hotter version of Zuko haha
